A young man named “Fred”, who is new to the Bushnell area, has been coming to Campus Life this year. He has such a kind heart; he yearns for others to experience what he’s experienced at Campus life. He volunteered to help with the local Christmas food basket give away in Bushnell. During that time, he indicated he was having an exciting day. I asked if he would like to make things more exciting by helping to load some calves (yes, bovines). I was not expecting his response of: “Sure.” He and Abby did a great job. I just love how God works things out! The next week I invited him to church--and he came! Pray for him, and for his family.
The Rauscherts had the middle school Campus Life group over to their home to decorate gingerbread houses and eat pizza. What a night! They were very creative and the homes actually looked cool! Mark and Cynthia opened their home and helped teens experience wholesome family activities. Each time we do something like this, the teens are hearing and seeing the gospel in action.
I got to help a middle school student put together a basketball hoop he’d gotten as a gift. It was neat that he felt like he could call and ask for help, and I was able to demonstrate God’s love and concern for him.
